Yesterday, rather than going to work, I took the day off and rode out to the Boomershoot site via Palouse Falls. I hit Palouse falls at around midday, so naturally, the first thing I thought I should do is have some lunch there. Rode out to Joe's place on the motorcycle. Started early, and it took me a pretty long time to get there, largely due to the slow start speed, and getting lost straight out of Seattle ("ok, take a tur- awww crap, missed the turn").

I've been dying to do this for ages. Mt. Rainier was gorgeous on a bicycle but I really wanted to do it on a motorcycle.

Last week we re-traced a similar route to the 600 mi trip I did, this time coming down Hwy 97A instead of going all the way out to Coulee. The previous trip I did proved to be invaluable with my experiences; this time I knew the corners which were dangerous, which were safe, and had a lot more fun going through the corners at speeds around 100 km/ ( Read more... )
